IPO Insight respects your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle your data, designed to comply with the Google Play User Data Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

1.1 Personal and Financial Information

To provide specific features, we may request:

  • Permanent Account Number (PAN): Required solely for the "Auto Allotment Checker" feature.

  • IPO Application Number: Used to check allotment status.

  • UPI ID (VPA): Used to initiate the payment mandate request for IPO applications.

  • Contact Info (Optional): Name/Email for profile creation and alerts.

1.2 Device and Technical Data

  • Device Identifiers: Device ID, OS version (to ensure app compatibility).

  • App Activity: Page views, IPOs tracked (for analytics and popularity trends).

  • Crash Logs: Technical data to fix bugs (via Firebase/Crashlytics).

2. Prominent Disclosure & Consent (Data Usage)

How we use your PAN and Financial Data:

  • We DO NOT sell, trade, or rent your PAN or Financial Data to third-party lending apps, credit bureaus, or marketing agencies.

  • Allotment Checking: Your PAN is used exclusively to query the official Registrar's API (e.g., Link Intime, KFintech) to retrieve your allotment status.

  • Storage: If you choose to save your PAN for future checks, it is stored locally on your device or in an encrypted format on our secure servers, accessible only by you.

3. Data Sharing

We only share data in the following restricted scenarios:

  • With Registrars/Exchanges: Your Application details/PAN are transmitted to the IPO Registrar or Stock Exchange API to fulfill your request (Checking status or Applying).

  • Legal Compliance: If required by Indian law or valid legal process (e.g., Court Order).

  • Service Providers: We use trusted third parties (like Google Firebase) for hosting and analytics, who are bound by confidentiality agreements.

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions. You can deny these, though some features may not work:

  • Internet: To fetch real-time IPO data.

  • Notifications: To send alerts for GMP updates and Allotment announcements.

  • Storage/Files: (If applicable) To save PDF forms or allotment receipts.

5. Data Safety & Security

  • We use industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission.

  • We implement administrative and technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to your data.

  • However, no mobile application is 100% secure.

6. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and associated data.

  • In-App Deletion: Go to Settings > Profile > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your saved PAN, application history, and profile data from our servers.

  • Web Request: If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion by emailing us at solidcodestudio@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request."

7. Children's Privacy

IPO Insight is intended for users eligible to enter into financial contracts (18+ years). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

8. Third-Party Links & Ads

  • Ads: We may use Google AdMob to display ads. Google may use your device ID to show personalized ads based on your interests (you can opt-out via device settings).

  • External Links: The App contains links to external sites (e.g., SEBI, BSE). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
